Baker Tilly Roelfs Strengthens Management Consulting Services

Baker Tilly Roelfs (Dusseldorf, Germany) has acquired consulting company Business & Finance Consulting Services GmbH (BFCS). The merger, effective 1 January 2015, will substantially strengthen Baker Tilly Roelf’s management consulting division and brings with it five partners and more than 20 professionals.

With a primary focus on processes, systems and organisational challenges, BFCS has been a highly successful consultancy firm over the past ten years. Its clients range from small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to DAX-listed corporations. The core competencies of BFCS are within the fields of business improvement, management advisory, governance, risk and compliance and internal audit.

As Ralf Gröning, spokesperson for the management board of Baker Tilly Roelfs, explains: "With the range of services, client segments and, above all, partners and personnel – Baker Tilly Roelfs and BFCS complement each other perfectly."

This new venture has numerous advantages for both parties. Ralf Gröning continues: "BFCS will be entering a well-established, professional and entrepreneurial environment with 12 local companies throughout Germany and at the same time, gaining access to the global Baker Tilly International network. For Baker Tilly Roelfs, the merger is the logical step in the course of expansion of our existing expertise – including our know-how in the field of audit-related consulting. This is a very important milestone in the ongoing development of our consultative business and the strengthening of our position as a powerfully growing, consulting-focused player in the field of interdisciplinary, SME-oriented auditing and advisory companies”.

At the turn of the year, the five BFCS directors and partners Wolfgang Düx, Jörg Jungbeck, Thomas Klunk, Thorsten Lorenzen and Marc Neumann and the entire BFCS team will move into the Baker Tilly Roelfs premises on the Rhine embankment in Düsseldorf.
